A No-Nonsense Approach to Healthy Eating

For as long as I can remember I have been overweight, even as a child.

My husband married me at my largest – 94kgs. We’ve been married 26 years this year and have 6 children and of course that has meant not much time for me! Plus, once I hit 40 it seemed even more difficult to lose weight. But I decided this was my year.

I had spent so much money trying to shift the kilos on many different diets – I lost weight on some but always gained it back. I was even considering paying for surgery, that’s how desperate I had become.

Then one day I met with a friend who was doing the 4 Phase Fat Loss Protocol. I could see that the weight had just fallen off of her and she told me all about the protocol. I ‘umm-ed’ and ‘ahh-ed’ because I really did not want to spend any more money on losing weight, if I didn’t know that it would work.

However, my friend pointed me in the direction of the website and as I read the information, it just all made sense – it felt like a no-nonsense approach.

At the end of the day, I really wanted to eat for health. And this is what the 4 Phase Fat Loss Protocol is all about.

My Family’s Weight Loss Journey

So, along with some other members of my family, I commenced this journey. We have all been watching the weight come off – sometimes it plateaus, or goes up a little, but we have stuck to it and have all had between 6 to 8 kg losses each month.

The first week was pretty tough, I’m not going to lie! We all felt so tired and lethargic, but as we pushed through we all started to have so much more energy – it was quite incredible! I have discovered that preparation is key and as far as willpower goes, I’ve discovered that it really hasn’t been necessary; the scales are all the motivation I need as I watch that number get lower and lower.

A New Way of Looking at Food

This protocol has taught me to look at food in a different way…to eat to live – not live to eat! I have discovered that you really can make food creative and different with a little thought and food can be super tasty without all of the additives! It has also given me the opportunity to teach my children about healthy, additive-free eating.

I have been empowered to teach my children – they now make educated choices about the types of food they choose.

Other benefits I’ve found, aside from my weight loss (I have lost 8kgs since I started the protocol on the 14th March), are that my mind is clearer and I also have lots more energy throughout the day. By nighttime, I am able to get to sleep earlier and have a great night’s sleep.

The protocol has been an insightful journey so far and I am very keen to continue learning. I really feel that what we ingest has so much to do with what is wrong with our bodies – I’m loving how healthy I feel!
