Like so many I had battled with my weight for my entire adult life. There were times when I had managed to lose large amounts of weight, but I could never get anywhere near where I needed to be. And, of course, the weight would creep back on.

Late 2017 I decided to give the 4 Phase Fat Loss Protocol a go. I ordered the pack as soon as I returned from holiday and commenced my journey on the 12th November 2017. I initially planned to see how I went as I thought it was going to be a struggle. However, about 10 days in, I realised it was going to be easy. So, I continued.

On New Year’s Eve my weight was 98.1kg. I was beyond happy to be below 100kg again! And, at the end of my first round I had reached the best weight I had been able to achieve over the years – 90kg, which meant that I had lost 21.3kg.

With great anticipation I commenced the 4 Phase Fat Loss Protocol again in February 2018. I was heading into uncharted territory for my weight. The weight continued to disappear, and I reached my goal weight of 70kg on the 3rd June 2018!

I never knew that I had this completely new body tucked away inside of the old shell!

‘Much More Than Just Weight Loss’

I have found the 4 Phase Fat Loss Protocol incredibly easy to follow and stick to and, even more importantly, I have really enjoyed the journey.

There have been so many other health benefits, most of which became very quickly apparent. From day one I lost my ‘junk food tooth’. I remember walking down an aisle in the supermarket and it was only as I reached the end of that aisle that I realised it was the chocolate/lolly aisle! I hadn’t even noticed. Wow – only a few weeks before I would have looked at everything and wondered what I wanted! Until that moment I hadn’t realised that I had stopped craving junk food. That was a big step forward for me.

Physically, I was also feeling incredibly well. I have severe arthritis in my knees (due to patella-femoral syndrome) and over the past year I had been getting a lot more discomfort in my hips and ankles. It wasn’t long before I noticed that my hips and ankles were pain free and while I would still get some aching from my knees at night, I was virtually pain free during the day.

I was so happy to get to the end of a working day – I am a nurse – and not feel so exhausted simply because my feet were killing me.

Changes Inside and Out

I have always done a reasonable amount of exercise, including (for the past four years) Pilates, which I love. Not surprisingly, there were a number of moves that I struggled with, simply because of my size. As the weight melted away I was amazed at how much better I was doing. There are moves that I never thought I would be able to do that I can now do with ease. I am also back swimming regularly and loving it (for me water is my ‘zen’ place).

I can’t believe the change in how I think about food – this is probably the most significant change for me. I now don’t overeat, I eat more slowly and really chew my food. I have been very lucky with all the foods that I have re-introduced (or introduced) as my body has tolerated them all. Some not as well as others and I know that, while I can have those ones, I won’t have them often.

I can now also walk into any dress shop and actually try on clothes, which is a lot of fun! It has been very cathartic to finally empty out my wardrobe. It is rather nice to be able to leave a dress shop not having bought anything because I didn’t like anything, not because I couldn’t try anything on.

 I am enjoying taking my time replacing my wardrobe. Buying new underwear has been the best thing!

The reaction from everyone around me has been gratifying. My family live on the east coast and I saw them for the first time since starting 4 Phase Fat Loss Protocol at the end of April and they couldn’t believe the physical change. At 75kg I was at a weight I hadn’t been since I was a teenager (and I would have been up to three inches shorter).
